Created for the Carolina Data Challenge ‘25, Productivity Lens analyzes labor productivity to understand how employment aligns with economic output and production for space-related industries and activities in the United States.
Coded with Python, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and pandas, this project investigates certain machine learning models that can best be used to predict the type of a star based on certain attributes. The program can also be applied to the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, a diagram that is used by astronomers to classify stars. By using existing data to predict possible star types based on just a few characteristics and then plotting them against the existing H-R diagram, astronomers can then use the model to find potential unusual and rare stars without the need to scope out thousands of star data by hand.
A single-player pong game created using HTML, CSS, and libraries such as p5.js and p5play to make the game interactive, and the graphics were created by yours truly using Pixilart! Compatible with PCs and mobile devices (use the mouse/touch screen to direct the bar as desired). Give it a shot and see if you can reach for the stars.
